Robert De Niro revealed earlier this week that he welcomed his seventh child at the age of 79 and social media went into meltdown. The Oscar-winning actor revealed the news during an interview to promote his latest film, About My Father.
Now here come the pictures of the newborn tot! Doting mom and De Niro’s Girlfriend Tiffany Chen went for a walk with her baby in NYC on Wednesday.
De Niro already has 6 children prior to the newborn – Drena, 51, and son Raphael, 46, from his first marriage to Diahnne Abbott. In 1995, he welcomed twin sons Julian and Aaron, now 27, with his former girlfriend, the model Toukie Smith.
He also has Elliot, 24, and daughter Helen Grace, 11, from his second marriage to Grace Hightower. When asked about the six during the interview De Niro replied: “Seven, actually.” He added: “I just had a baby.” De Niro did not provide any further details about his latest offspring, or the child’s mother at the time, although Tiffany appeared to be sporting a baby bump when photographed having dinner with De Niro last month.
The pair’s newborn child – who appeared to be less than a month old – was dressed in a pink onesie and swaddled in a white blanket as Tiffany lifted the baby out of a stroller. Tiffany was seen pushing the stroller too as well as cradling the couple’s baby to her chest.
De Niro told Page Six that he was not surprised to become a dad again and that the pregnancy with Tiffany was ‘planned.’
‘How you could not plan that kind of thing?’ he asked. De Niro also shared his feelings about becoming a father again.
‘I’m ok with it,’ the actor told Extra on the red carpet when asked if he was excited. ‘I’m good with it.’ When asked if becoming a parent ever gets easier the Taxi Driver actor joked, ‘Never gets easier.’
Chen – who was first linked to De Niro in 2021 is believed to be 45. Congrats to the happy couple!
